Mobile, Non-Invasive Venous Imaging for the Legs
EZ Diagnostic Imaging Services provides mobile lower extremity venous ultrasound examinations for clinics, care facilities, and home-based patients. This non-invasive study uses sound waves and Doppler imaging to evaluate veins in the legs and blood flow within them.
What Is a Lower Extremity Venous Ultrasound?
A lower extremity venous ultrasound, sometimes called a venous Doppler study, is an imaging examination a healthcare provider may order to assess the deep and superficial veins of the legs. The imaging and interpretation help the ordering provider evaluate the patient’s clinical situation.
What to Expect During the Examination
During the study, a trained ultrasound technician applies gel to the skin and moves a handheld transducer along the area being examined. Gentle pressure may be used to obtain the images needed for the study. The test does not use radiation, and preparation instructions will be provided when the appointment is scheduled.
Convenient Mobile Ultrasound for Care Settings
Our mobile service brings ultrasound imaging to qualifying locations, helping reduce the need for transport and supporting care where the patient is. We work with clinics, hospitals, skilled nursing and assisted-living facilities, home-health organizations, and other appropriate care settings.
